About

We started out in Reading back in 2023 with a simple goal: to make noise, play fast, and bring pure energy to every stage we stepped on. Since then, Test Band 2 Updated has spent the last three years carving out a loud, fast corner of the local music scene. We built our foundation on a fierce blend of rock, punk, and pop, taking the raw intensity of punk rock and wrapping it in undeniable hooks.

Our lineup brings together john K on drums, mike a on guitar, Laura B on bass, and Paul V on vocals. Together, we craft high-energy live music and unforgettable soundscapes for every stage. From the beginning, our focus has been simple. We bring raw emotion, tight rhythms, and massive melodies to every single performance, giving audiences a night where every chord hits right where it hurts.

Over the last few years, we have taken that energy into some of Reading's legendary independent venues. Playing iconic spots like The Facebar and Purple Turtle has allowed us to connect directly with the local crowd, building our sound and honing our live show. Those gigs have been all about creating chaos, sharing the melody, and turning every venue into a packed house of noise and excitement.

Now, we are gearing up for our biggest milestone yet. Having spent our time refining our sound and tearing up local stages, we are ready to take the next step. Our debut album, titled The First, is set for release in mid-December. It captures everything we have built so far, packing our signature mix of rock, punk, and pop into a complete record.

There is plenty more ahead as we get ready to share the new record with you. Come to a show to feel the chaos, catch the melody, and experience what we are all about in person.
